Windows Security Notice - This is Normal!
You WILL see scary-looking security warnings when downloading. This happens with ALL remote access software - even the big companies like TeamViewer get these warnings!
What to do:
- When your browser says "This file may be harmful" → Click "Keep" or "Save anyway"
- When Windows says "Windows protected your PC" → Click "More info" then "Run anyway"
- Remember: Our software is completely safe - Windows just doesn't recognize our signature yet!
Simple Installation Steps

1Download the File
Click the big blue "Windows" button above. Your computer will ask if you want to save the file - click "Save" or "Yes".
💡 The file will likely go to your "Downloads" folder
2Find and Run the File
Option A: Look for a file called "rustdesk-1.4.0" in your Downloads folder (usually in File Explorer)
Option B: Check your browser's download area (usually at the bottom of the browser window)
Right-click on the file and choose "Run as administrator"
⚠️ Windows will show a scary warning - This is normal! Click "More info" then "Run anyway"
3Wait for Installation
The program will install automatically. You might see a few quick windows pop up - this is normal! Just wait for it to finish.
⏱️ This usually takes 30-60 seconds
4Get Your ID Number
A window will open showing your unique ID number (it will be a long number like "123 456 789").
Write this number down or take a picture of it with your phone!
✅ Success! Your computer is now ready for remote support!
5Call Us with Your ID
Call 715-623-2468 and tell us:
- "I installed the remote access tool"
- Give us your ID number
- Describe your computer problem
We'll connect and fix your problem ASAP!
